Deion Sanders once predicted that his son, former Colorado Buffaloes quarterback Shedeur Sanders, would be a top-five pick in the NFL Draft. Needless to say, he was disappointed by what happened on Thursday night.
Not only did Shedeur fall outside of the first five picks of the 2025 NFL Draft on Thursday night, but he actually fell out of the first round completely, going undrafted on the first night of the draft.
This was undoubtedly disappointing for the Sanders family, but Deion offered a classy response as he broke his silence on the matter on Friday morning.
"My bible says God uses the foolish things to confound the wise & he chose the weak things of the world that he may put to shame the strong! Please know God ain't done & God is just really getting started. Enjoy this lesson & stop stressing," Deion wrote in a post on X on Sunday morning.

Shedeur had a pretty classy response to the slide, as well.
"We all didn't expect this, of course, but I feel like with God, anything possible, everything possible. I don't feel like this happened for no reason," Shedeur said after going undrafted in the first round of the draft.
"All of this is, of course, fuel to the fire. Under no circumstances did we all know this was going to happen, but we understand we on to bigger and better things. Tomorrow's the day. We going to be happy regardless. Legendary," he continued
While Shedeur may have fallen out of the first round, he is certainly expected to be selected on the second day of the draft, which includes the second and third rounds.
We'll have to see where Shedeur ultimately ends up after this unexpected slide down the draft boards this week.
