Free wings at Buffalo Wild Wings in Youngstown but only if this happens at the Super Bowl
Ted Lasso said a tie is like kissing your sister, but wing eaters might want to consider rooting for just that.
For the seventh year in a row, Buffalo Wild Wings is giving away free wings if the Super Bowl is tied and goes into overtime.
The Philadelphia Eagles will once again face the Kansas City Chiefs at Super Bowl LIX, scheduled for Sunday, Feb. 9, 2025, in New Orleans, and this reporter/wing-lover is hoping for a tie.
Free Wings
The deal offers six free boneless or traditional wings to everyone in the country, including hungry Younstowners.
Claim your free wings on Monday, Feb. 24, from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the Southern Park Mall location at 7401 Market Street #801, Youngstown, OH 44512.
Buffalo Wild Wings didn’t have to ante up the last time these teams faced off, however, they did give away a ton of wings in 2017 when the Patriots and the Falcons tied and again last year when the Chiefs and 49ers faced off.
A bold promise
In 2024, BWW made good on its promise and gave away a whole bunch of wings.
Tristan Meline, Chief Marketing Officer at Buffalo Wild Wings, commented on the promotion in a press release, “Are we crazy for bringing our overtime deal back after last year’s turnout? Maybe! After giving away over 2.5 million wings last year, we know it’s a bold move to bring it back.”
This offer is only valid for in-person dining and takeaway orders, so don’t get any ideas about getting a doggy bag for your sick third cousin at home.
Super Bowl Sunday is one of the biggest days for wings in the United States, with the National Chicken Council reporting that 1.45 billion wings were consumed on game day last year.
Is this incentive enough to wish for a tie? If we have an overtime situation, and you decide to take BWW on their offer, snap some pics and email me at srose@ledger-enquirer.com or find me on Instagram.
