Northeast Ohio real estate brokerage expands with new Trumbull County office

A northeast Ohio network of real estate agents are “growing by leaps and bounds,” according to one agent who’s been with the company for over ten years.
CENTURY 21 Lakeside Realty recently celebrated the grand opening of their new office in Howland, located at 8246 East Market St.
It’s the fourth Mahoning Valley office for the full-service real estate brokerage serving the residents of the Youngstown, Warren, Howland, Austintown and surrounding communities.
Realtor Dawn Nicholas said CENTURY 21 Lakeside opened the Howland office in order to expand their services to more Trumbull County homeowners and potential buyers.
“We felt there was a need for an office here and we wanted to branch out,” Nicholas said. “We have ten agents in the Howland location and we’re a branch of the main office in Austintown.”
There are 100 real estate agents working at CENTURY 21 Lakeside in northeast Ohio.
“We have so many different agents at our office that specialize in so many things that there’s somebody for everybody,” Nicholas said. “The spring for our area is generally the big season, and the rates are probably where they’re going to be for a while. Right now, it’s a seller’s market.”
Nicholas attributes the agency’s success to the CENTURY 21 brokerage franchise owner, George Berick.
“I can say that the office is great because of him,” she said. “Everybody in the company roots for each other, and it’s just a great atmosphere, truly like at home. Everybody treats everybody with respect. We all love one another, and we all root for each other.”
She said this type of supportive environment can be unusual for their line of work.
“It’s unusual in real estate because we’re all competing,” Nicholas said. “In other offices, people are pushing you down to get to the front of the line. They have their favorites that they send all the the work to. It’s so the opposite here; it’s such a great family business.”
Nicholas specializes in connecting buyers with both commercial and residential properties in Trumbull County.
“I also am getting involved with the city of Niles and Trumbull County to try to work with them on making the cities better,” she said. “There’s programs that are out there and things that we can try to help build up the cities, bring buyers in for commercial and residential to make it a better place.”
