Trumbull County store not expected to close as company completes restructuring

On June 16, a nationwide furniture and home decor company with stores in northeast Ohio filed for bankruptcy and said they’re closing 26 stores.
According to court documents, At Home Group Inc. filed for Chapter 11 and initiated a restructuring plan for the company moving forward, including a new buyer.
Brad Weston is the CEO of At Home Group Inc.
“We are pleased to have reached this agreement with our lenders, which represents a critical and positive advancement of our work to best position At Home for the future,” Weston said.
By the end of September, 26 At Home stores are expected to close, according to The Columbus Dispatch.
These stores are in Pittsburgh, Florida, New York and other states but not Ohio, according to The Columbus Dispatch.
The Eastwood Mall At Home store is expected to remain open, as well as all Ohio stores.
“While we have made significant progress advancing our initiatives to date, we are operating against the backdrop of an increasingly dynamic and rapidly evolving trade environment as we navigate the impact of tariffs,” Weston said.
At Home opened in the Eastwood Mall in 2018.
“We are grateful to be moving forward with significant support from our financial stakeholders, which demonstrates their confidence in our business and our future strategy,” Weston said.
Once the restructuring process is complete, Weston said they’re looking forward to moving ahead with new ownership.
“As we work through this process, our stores and the teams that support them remain customer focused and committed to serving and inspiring customers, enabling them to Design Their Life At Home,” he said.
