Cardinal Credit Union, the official credit union of the Cleveland Browns and a financial cooperative serving the local community, has been awarded a Top Workplaces 2025 award by Northeast Ohio Top Workplaces. The award recognizes companies that cultivate a people-first culture and prioritize employee engagement, growth, and well-being.

Cardinal was among 114 Northeast Ohio companies with 150 or fewer employees awarded this distinction.

“Earning a Top Workplaces award is a badge of honor for companies, especially because it comes authentically from their employees,” said Eric Rubino, Energage CEO. “That’s something to be proud of. In today’s market, leaders must ensure they’re allowing employees to have a voice and to be heard. That’s paramount. Top Workplaces do this, and it pays dividends.”

The Top Workplaces list is based on employee feedback gathered through a third-party survey administered by employee engagement technology partner Energage, LLC. The confidential and anonymous survey measures the employee experience and includes workplace themes, such as whether employees feel respected, supported, and empowered to execute.

The company stated at Cardinal, success is measured by employee and member satisfaction—two mutually interdependent objectives. Cardinal is recognized as a top area financial institution due to the dedication, commitment, and knowledge of its valued workforce.

“We are thrilled to be a Top Workplace again this year,” said Christine Blake, CEO, Cardinal Credit Union. “We recognize that our greatest asset is our people and that’s why we put such a tremendous focus on ensuring our employees are highly fulfilled and provided with the right tools and support to do their jobs and to do it well. This is how Cardinal makes a difference in our community and with our members.”

Cardinal also earned previous Top Workplace designations for 2021, 2022 and 2023.
