On Tuesday, a Trumbull County jury found William Brown, 34, of Fifth Street SW, guilty of felonious assault with gun specification and having weapons while under disability.

The guilty verdict ended a two-day trial before Judge Ronald J. Rice in Trumbull County Common Pleas Court, according to a Trumbull County press release.

The release stated the jury took approximately three hours to deliberate the verdict. The case involved a June 2023 incident where Brown put a gun to the head of a woman.

The judge revoked bond for the defendant and sentencing will be held after he undergoes a background investigation conducted by the probation department, according to the release.

Assistant Prosecutor Kevin Trapp represented the state in the case, while the defendant was represented by Attorney Aaron Meikle.
