Cases handled in Trumbull County Common Pleas Court on Wednesday

The following cases were handled Wednesday, March 26, before Judge Sean O’Brien of Trumbull County Common Pleas Court:
Dominique O. King, 33, of Kline Street, Girard, was given an 18-month prison term and fined $10,000 after pleading guilty on March 5, 2025, to a third-degree possession of cocaine, a third-degree aggravated possession of drugs, a third-degree having weapons while under disability and a fourth-degree improperly handling firearms in a motor vehicle felonies. The case involved a June 3, 2024, arrest by Liberty Township police officers.
Nicco Barr, 22, of Nelson Mosier Road, Leavittsburg, pleaded guilty to six felony counts including four second-degree possession of a fentanyl-related compound. The case involved an Oct. 26, 2023 search warrant executed by the Warren City police Street Crimes Unit which found about 1,450 tables of fentanyl plus more than $40,000 in cash, a stolen vehicle, and five firearms. The cash and firearms were forfeited as part of the plea deal. Barr faces a mandatory indefinite prison term and will be sentenced after he undergoes a background investigation conducted by probation officers. He was also found guilty of receiving stolen property, a fourth-degree felony and a fifth-degree count of possession of a fentanyl-related compound.
The following cases were handled Wednesday afternoon, March 26, 2025, before Judge Cynthia W. Rice of Trumbull County Common Pleas Court:
Deandre P. Harris, 34, of Coitsville Road, Campbell, received an indefinite 3 to 4 ½-year prison sentence after pleading guilty to improperly handling firearm in a motor vehicle, fourth-degree felony, and a second-degree possession of cocaine felony. The case involved an arrest Nov. 4, 2023, after a traffic stop in Warren, reports stated. The sentenced also carried a mandatory $7,500 fine.
Max Sparks, 32, of Royal Mall Drive, Niles, received a 17-month prison sentence after admitting to probation violations for 2020 convictions for receiving stolen property and theft. The defendant received credit for serving 214 days in jail.
Jason Carter Sr., 28, Fifth Street SW, Warren, received a 12-month prison sentence after pleading guilty to charges of having weapons while under disability and improperly handling firearms in a motor vehicle. The case involved a firearm found in a vehicle that was involved in a Dec. 28, 2024 traffic stop by Warren police.
The following cases were handled Thursday morning, March 27, 2025, before Judge Ronald J. Rice of Trumbull County Common Pleas Court:
Robert D. Paxton, 43, of Market Street in Youngstown, pleaded guilty to a fifth-degree breaking and entering felony. Paxton, who faces a possible six month to 12-month prison sentence, will submit to a background investigation prior to sentencing. The case involved a Jan. 13, 2025 break-in at a home on Central Parkway SE in Warren.
Logan Bork, 21, of Judyth Street, Warren, pleaded guilty to a fourth-degree trespass into a habitation and a fourth-degree receiving stolen property felonies. The case involved a Nov. 30, 2024, break-in at a Weathersfield Township residence, where a firearm, a semiautomatic Highpoint handgun was taken. The handgun was later recovered on Dec. 3, 2024, by Warren police, reports stated. Bork could face up to three-years in prison and will undergo a background investigation conducted by probation officers prior to sentencing.
