Arrest made in Youngstown stabbing death, police department says

Youngstown Police Department announced Monday that an arrest had been made in a recent stabbing that killed a man.

On April 4 at approximately 7:55pm, the Youngstown Police Department was dispatched to 3749 Tippecanoe Road for a stabbing, according to officials.

Upon arrival, Officers said they found victim Nestor Diaz, 38, with a stab wound to the abdomen area. Officers and EMT rendered aid but he died from his wounds and was pronounced dead on scene.

The YPD Detective Division and Crime Scene Unit were requested on scene and arrived shortly after, according to reports.

Officials said they learned the suspect was Camillo Barreto who stabbed the victim after a dispute over property.

Barreto was tracked to the Pittsburgh area and officers requested the assistance of the Baldwin Borough Police Department who took Barreto into custody without incident, according to the department.

Officals said Barreto was taken to the Allegany County Jail for Murder, where he will wait to be extradited to Ohio to face the charge.
