Arrest made in 2023 Youngstown murder, police department says

An arrest has been made in a 2023 Youngstown murder, according to the Youngstown Police Department.

Officials said on Tuesday, Mikele Glenn, 35, was taken into custody by the U.S. Marshals Service without incident and transported to the Mahoning County Sheriff’s Office.

On Monday, Glenn was indicted for the murder of Edward Lewis, 53. He was also indicted for aggravated burglary, according to the department.

According to reports, on November 2, 2023, the Youngstown Police Department was called to 52 Oneta Street for a deceased person.

The Detective Bureau and Crime Scene Unit were dispatched and began the investigation into the murder of Lewis, who was shot multiple times.

The Youngstown Police Department said it would like to extend a thank you to the U.S. Marshals and detectives who have continued to work the case since it occurred 18 months ago.
