What is Puffs?

Puffs is an original play by Matt Cox. It’s a parody of the Harry Potter book series by J. K. Rowling, but from the perspective of the Puffs, who were inspired by the Hogwart’s House, Hufflepuff.

Puffs is about three potential heroes who are just trying to make it through magic school that proves to be very dangerous for children.

Alongside those students, are the Puffs, a group of well-meaning loyal outsiders, with a thing for badgers. Their epic quest takes the classic story to new places and reimagines what a boy wizard hero can be. Please note that Puffs is not authorized, sanctioned, licensed or endorsed by J.K. Rowling, Warner Bros. or any person or company associated with the Harry Potter books, films, or play.

The Youngstown Playhouse is committed to an inclusive casting process and encourages performers of all ethnicities, gender identities, and abilities to audition.

Auditions will take place at The Youngstown Playhouse at 600 Playhouse Lane in Youngstown. More information is available at the Youngstown Playhouse website.
