Public invited to Mahoning Valley 9/11 Memorial Day ceremony in Austintown
Join the Austintown Beautification Committee for the twenty-third annual Mahoning Valley 9/11 Memorial Ceremony.
The ceremony on Wednesday starts at 10 a.m. at the Mahoning Valley 9/11 Memorial Park located at 1055 S. Raccoon Road in Austintown.
During the ceremony, members of the Austintown Fitch High School band and concert choir and the Springfield High School choir will perform.
There will be a 21-gun salute and statements from JR Blakeman, a U.S. Marine Corp veteran during the Vietnam era from 1969 to 1973, as well as a law enforcement officer serving the Mahoning, Trumbull and Columbiana counties from 1993 till his retirement in 2015.
