Mahoning County ranks in top 5 counties seeing top home value growth in Ohio, study says |

According to a SmartAsset study, Mahoning ranked among Ohio’s five counties with best home value growth.

What does home value growth mean?

The study aimed to find the best counties in Ohio for homebuyers investing in 2024 and in years to come.

To do this, SmartAsset researchers looked at various factors for the ranking, like:

Per capita property tax amount that is collected for each county
Quality of school districts in each county
Overall change in property values in a five-year period in each county

Places where property values rose by the greatest amount indicated where consumers were motivated to buy homes, and a positive return on investment for homeowners in the community.

Out of all 88 counties, the experts with SmartAsset found Mahoning is one of the top 10 best places to live for Ohioans to get the most value from their taxes and housing prices.
