Youngstown park closed for renovations, including pickle ball & basketball courts

Wondering why Lynn Park is closed now?
The city of Youngstown will be reopening the park this summer at 1940 Lynn Ave. in the Brownlee Woods neighborhood with a whole new look.
Additions and upgrades are expected to be completed early June for reopen, according to Clemate Franklin, executive director of parks and recreation in Youngstown.
At the new Lynn Park, residents will get to enjoy an upgraded playground and fitness area, as well as new basketball and pickle ball courts.
Franklin said they’ve included new lighting and added more security cameras as part of the construction project.
There will also be a new paved walking track and upgraded fencing around the park.
“Improvement work to Lynn Park, the topic of debate and an eventual compromise, is underway thanks to funding set aside from the city’s American Rescue Plan,” Councilwoman Anita Davis wrote online.
