Traffic impacts in Mahoning and Trumbull counties for the week of June 30

The Ohio Department of Transportation has announced the following new and continuing traffic impacts for the week of June 30 in Mahoning and Trumbull County.
Mahoning County
Interstate 680 bridge repairs
CONTINUING IMPACT - I-680 northbound under Walker Mill Rd. is reduced to one lane for bridge repairs.
CONTINUING IMPACT – Walker Mill Rd. over I-680 is closed indefinitely for bridge repairs. The detour is South Ave. to US 224 to SR 170 to N. Lima Rd.

CONTINUING IMPACT – I-680 northbound has various lane restrictions from just north of US 224 to SR 170.
Estimated completion: September 2025.
State Route 14 culvert replacement, Goshen Township
CONTINUING IMPACT – Beginning Tuesday, May 27, SR 14 just south of Pine Lake Rd. will be closed through Wednesday, June 4 for a culvert replacement. The detour will be SR 14T to SR 45 to SR 165 to SR 14.
State Route 5 lighting improvement, Bazetta, Champion & Warren Townships
CONTINUING IMPACT – On Thursday, June 12 and Friday, June 13, between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. the following interchanges will have various short-term closures for light pole installation:
• SR 5/82 at US 422
• SR 5/82 at Perkins Jones Rd.
• SR 5/82 at Elm Rd.
No two interchanges will be closed at the same time and all detours will be posted.
Estimated completion: late August 2025.
US 224 bridge replacement, Canfield Township
US 224 over I-76/Ohio Turnpike is reduced to one lane in each direction through fall 2026 for a bridge replacement being performed by the Ohio Turnpike and Infrastructure Commission.
US Route 422 & State Route 616 resurfacing, bridge and culvert replacement, City of Campbell; Coitsville Township
NEW IMPACT – Beginning on Monday, July 7, US 422 between Hubbard Rd. and Struthers Coitsville Rd. will be reduced to one lane with traffic maintained by a traffic signal through mid-August.
The follow routes have various lane restrictions for bridge repairs:
• U.S. 422 from SR 616 to the Pennsylvania State line
• SR 616 from just south of Notre Dame Dr. to Cooper Rd.
Estimated completion: early October 2025.
State Routes 14 & 165 resurfacing & bridge repairs, Village of Beloit; Goshen, Green & Smith Townships
CONTINUING IMPACT – Beginning Monday, May 5, the following routes will have various lane restrictions for resurfacing:
• SR 14 between the Portage County line and Columbiana County line.
• SR 165 from the northern Beloit Corporation limit to SR 14.
Estimated completion: late October 2025.
State Route 170 pavement reconstruction, Village of New Middletown & Springfield Township
CONTINUING IMPACT – Beginning Tuesday, May 27, SR 170 southbound traffic will not be able to access SR 630/Calla Rd. through Wednesday, June 4. The detour will be US 224 east to PA 551 to PA 317 to SR 630.
CONTINUING IMPACT – Beginning on Tuesday, May 27, SR 630/Calla Rd. just west of SR 170 will be closed through early June.
CONTINUING IMPACT - SR 170 southbound is closed between SR 630/ Calla Rd. and Woodland Dr. through late October 2025. The detour is SR 617 to SR 165 to SR 626 to SR 7 to US 224 to SR 170.
Estimated completion: late October 2025.
Trumbull County
State Route 5 lighting improvement, Bazetta, Champion & Warren Townships
The following interchanges will have various lane restrictions for lighting installation:
• SR 5/82 at US 422
• SR 5/82 at Perkins Jones Rd.
• SR 5/82 at Elm Rd.
Estimated completion: late August 2025.
Interstate 80 in Hubbard Township
I-80 eastbound just west of the Pennsylvania State line is reduced to one lane for a pavement replacement project being overseen by the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation. Motorists should expect delays in this area.
State Route 7 culvert replacement, Brookfield Township
NEW IMPACT – Beginning Monday, July 14, SR 7 just north of Chestnut Ridge Rd. will be closed through Friday, July 18 for a culvert replacement. The detour will be US 62 to SR 82.
State Route 46 microsurfacing, Greene & Mecca Townships
CONTINUING IMPACT – Beginning Monday, June 23, SR 46 between SR 88 and SR 87 will have various daily lane restrictions for microsurfacing.
Estimated completion: mid-July 2025.
State Route 7 resurfacing, Villge of Yankee Lake; Brookfield & Hartford Townships
CONTINUING IMPACT — SR 7 from just north of SR 82 to Drake Stateline Rd. has various daily lane restrictions for resurfacing.
Estimated completion: late August 2025.
State Route 11 resurfacing, Vienna Township
CONTINUING IMPACT – SR 11 from just north of SR 82 to King Graves Rd. will have various lane restrictions for resurfacing.
Estimated completion: late September 2025.
State Route 46 bridge replacement, Bazetta Township
CONTINUING IMPACT – Beginning Monday, April 21, SR 46 just north of Cadwallader Sonk Rd. will be closed through early June. The detour will be SR 305 to SR 11 to SR 82.
Estimated completion: late June 2024.
State Routes 46 & 82 Diverging Diamond Interchange, Howland Township
CONTINUING IMPACT – The following ramp closures and lane restriction are in place through late spring 2025:
• The ramp from SR 82 eastbound to SR 46 northbound is closed. The detour is SR 82 east to SR 193 to SR 82 west to SR 46.
• The ramp from SR 46 south to SR 82 east is closed. The detour is SR 82 west to Elm Rd. to SR 82 east.
• State Route 46 between Market St. and US 422 has various daily lane restrictions.
Estimated completion: fall 2026.
State Routes 88 & 193 chip seal, Fowler, Johnston & Vernon Townships
CONTINUING IMPACT – Beginning on Tuesday, May 27, the following routes will have various lane restrictions for chip seal:
• SR 88 between Sodom Hutchinson Rd. and SR 7
• SR 193 between SR 88 and Bradlee Brownlee Rd.
Estimated completion: August 2025.
State Route 45 resurfacing, Bloomfield Township
CONTINUING IMPACT – Beginning on Tuesday May 27, SR 45 between SR 87 and the Ashtabula County line will have various lane restrictions for resurfacing.
Estimated completion: Early August 2025.
State Route 534 resurfacing, Newton Falls & Newton Township
CONTINUING IMPACT – Beginning on Tuesday, May 27, SR 534 between Hallock Young Rd. and Maple Dr. will have various lane restrictions.
