Football fans across the country are gearing up for Sunday’s Super Bowl LVIII showdown between the San Francisco 49ers and the Kansas City Chiefs.

Football’s the most-watched sporting event for Americans, but which cities have the most die-hard fans?

WalletHub compiled a list of the top 100 cities to live is as a football fan.

Researchers examined overall fan engagement, ticket sales and attendance for both NFL and college football games in major cities across the U.S.

They also incorporated data about which major cities have their own “home-team” football stadiums and which teams have won championships historically.

Where does Youngstown rank?

Youngstown made the top 100 list, ranking 87 for best cities to be a football fan.

Cincinnati, Columbus and Cleveland joined Youngstown for Ohio cities represented on the list of top 100 list for football watch parties. Cincinnati is number 11, almost beating Kansas City to get into the top ten best cities for football fans.

Cleveland is number 25, while Columbus is listed as 81.

But overall, Pittsburgh took the number one spot in the ranking with six Super Bowl wins under their belt.

“The best city for football fans is Pittsburgh, in large part due to the presence of its NFL team, the Steelers,” WalletHub researchers summarized. “The Pittsburgh Steelers have some of the most engaged football fans in the country in terms of social media likes and followers per capita. Pittsburgh has some of the most loyal fans, too, measured by ticket revenues, social media engagement, and the home team’s ability to outperform its payroll investments.”
