Anthony Edwards does not back down from any obstacle in his way. At just 23 years old, the Minnesota Timberwolves, All-Star shooting guard has already had the pressure of being the "face" of the NBA dropped on him (even if he doesn't want it). And in year No. 5, Edwards appears ready to take on any challenge that comes his way.
His latest challenge is the current "face" of the NBA, LeBron James, and the Los Angeles Lakers. Edwards and his No. 6 seed, Timberwolves are looking to pull off the first-round upset over the No. 3 seed, Lakers.
The Timberwolves already stole home-court advantage from the Lakers when they dominated Game 1, winning 117-95. And Friday night, the task was to win Game 3 in front of their home-crowd fans inside Target Center.
They did just that, coming away with a 116-104 win behind Jaden McDaniels' 30-point effort as well as Edwards' 29 points.
After the game, the NBA took to social media, sending a five-word, Anthony Edwards message.

"ANT. MAN OF THE PEOPLE," the NBA posted on their official X account.
Edwards was asked after the game how he managed his emotions during an intense game in front of clearly energized, Timberwolves fans.
"That was fun, I'm not gonna lie man. It was so loud in there, I couldn't hear the play. I couldn't hear nothing. That was probably the most fun I've had inside Target Center," Edwards said.
Edwards finished with eight rebounds, eight assists, two steals, one block, and five made 3-pointers to go along with his 29 points.
Edwards and the Timberwolves will look to take a commanding 3-1 lead over the Lakers in Game 4 on Sunday at 3:30 p.m. EDT on ABC.
