A Northeast Ohio baseball team has won another World Series title.

The 11U Ohio Glaciers Baseball Team won its back-to-back Perfect Game (PG) Gulf Coast World Series title on June 20 in Ft. Walton, Florida.

The 10-person team traveled to Ft. Walton from June 17 to 20 to compete against 11U teams from all over the country.

The team is coached by Brett Pitzulo and Craig Sutch along with assistant coaches Pad O’Shaughnessy and Braeden O’Shaughnessy.

Members of the team include:

Pitzulo said the concept of teamwork is part of what has made the team so successful.

“Our group buys into having a team concept and roles that each player fits into our team. We have a lot of players that would play premium positions, and hit 3rd or 4th on all the other teams in this area but they don’t for us,” he said. “Only one guy can be our three or four hitters. But, it does not bother them and they play their role on our team to the best of their abilities. This makes us special - these qualities allow us to play against anyone in the country.”

Pitzulo added that the parents, families and coaches were instrumental in the team’s accomplishments.

The team went 6-2 in the tournament, ultimately defending their title in the Championship Game against the 11U Mules Blue team from Tennessee with a score of 17-1.

Overall, the 11U team had a record of 29-8 for the 2025 season. They won four out of eight tournaments that they entered. Team ERA was 3.62 and Team Batting Average was .406.

“Perfect Game tournaments are a name that is associated with elite level baseball from all over the country,” Pitzulo said. “Being able to not only compete, but win back-to-back Perfect Game tournaments speaks volumes about what this group of players has accomplished.”

The Ohio Glaciers facility is located at 276 State Street in Struthers.
